LumiVillage, LLC (“LumiVillage,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies, unique identifiers, and other similar technologies, like pixels and SDKs, to distinguish you from other users of our Platform, provide our services to you, help collect data, and improve our Platform. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and explains how and why we use these technologies.

1. Cookies and Persistent Identifiers

• Cookies: Small data files stored on your device that act as a unique tag to identify your browser or session.
• Persistent Identifiers: These help with personalizing your experience and supporting our passwordless security features. We utilize these to:
  • Save your login state for future access;
  • Assist in processing payments via Stripe; and
  • Track user preferences and search filters (e.g., “Show me results within 10 miles”).

2. Pixel Tags

We and our Third-Party Agents may use “pixel tags” (also known as web beacons or clear GIFs). These are tiny graphic images used to understand browsing activity or determine whether a specific action was performed, such as completing a registration step or opening a marketing email.

3. App and Identity Technologies

We include technologies in our mobile application that are not browser-based:

• Software Development Kits (SDKs): These are blocks of code embedded in the App. We use SDKs to facilitate identity verification through Didit and to monitor App performance and crashes via AWS.
• Device Ad IDs: You can reset your device Ad ID (IDFA/AAID) at any time through your mobile device settings to limit the use of information collected about you for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Tracking & Services

• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Infrastructure stability and performance monitoring.
• Stripe: Identifiers used to facilitate secure financial transactions and detect fraud.
• Didit: Secure session technologies to manage the “Live Selfie” and ID upload process.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Analyzing App interactions to improve features.

5. Your Choices & Geolocation

• Managing Cookies: You can adjust browser settings to decline cookies, though this may limit Platform functionality.
• Location Choice: To help you find nearby people and lessons in your local area, we offer two ways to set your location:
  1. Automated (GPS): With your permission, we use your device’s GPS to show you the most accurate nearby results. You can manage or revoke this in your device settings at any time.
  2. Manual (City/Zip): If you prefer not to use GPS, you can manually enter your City or Zip Code during registration. In this case, we only store the general area you provided.
• Uninstalling: You can stop all collection of information by the App by uninstalling it from your device.
